Hi and welcome,
my name is Marie Katsoudas, I am an elopement photographer from Germany based out of New Jersey and I am excited to have you here and share my passion for capturing the beauty of love in the great outdoors with you, wether it’s stunning landscape or fascinating architecture.
I believe
that the natural world and architecture of cities provides the most stunning backdrops for love stories to document not only visually captivating images but also evoke a sense of connection and harmony with the environment.
I am specialized in
capturing elopements in New York City, Utah and Greece but I am ready to pack my bags and follow you to wherever you are.
When you choose me as your elopement photographer,
you can expect a personalized and tailored unique to you experience because I will take the time to get to know you as a couple, understand your vision and scout the perfect location that aligns with your preferences, whether it’s a beach, unique rock formations, mountains, lakes, deserts or unique architecture in the most iconic cities in the world, I will guide you through the process and and ensure that every detail is thoughtfully captured in a documentary style.
My mission
is to create moments in a comfortable atmosphere where and your significant other can be your true selves because I believe that the best photographs are born out of genuine emotions and candid moments.
I’ll be there to capture the fun, the laughter and the tears. Adventuring might push you out of your comfort zone and you might get to know a side of you that you didn’t even know that you had, but you will see it will always be worth it because you will leave stronger than you came. For years to come you will look at these pictures and relive and cherish the moments and memories you made.
Capturing the emotional connection and love story between two people as a memory to hold on to forever fills my heart and hopefully your hearts with gratitude for the beauty in life. I’ve met so many amazing people since I started my journey as a photographer and I am excited to meet you and capture your story.
More about who I am and what brought me here today
What sets me apart is that I have a deep appreciation and connection with nature since grew up with six siblings in a little german village, where farm animals outnumber the human population.Growing up in a village with lots of fields and forests, I always hiked to locations where I had a beautiful view to deal with difficulties in life, since living in a tiny house with many people wasn’t always easy.
I love thinking back to our summers we spend road-tripping and camping through Europe as a family where we visited Greece Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Hungarian and Bulgaria just to name a few. Since I got my first camera in 2008, I captured the moments of these trips and developed a deep love for landscape, architecture and lifestyle photography.
Being in a nature environment always calmed my head down and helped me see my life and its difficulties from a different point of view. And my siblings dealt with it in the same way and we all have a strong bond to each other till this day. Moving to the states in 2018 gave me the opportunity to travel to 22 states, Canada and Costa Rica, the pictures that I took let me experience a moment that’s already passed, once again. Seeing beautiful locations with oceans, mountains, lakes and forests make me realize that something so beautiful like these places, connecting with the environment and be in this moment at this time makes life worth living every single day.
It gives a sense of appreciation and value of having the opportunity to be able to visit these locations and reflect of your life and see how far you have come and what person you have become through the path of life.In February 2020 I married my wonderful husband the love of my life. He loves me in a way that I could have never imagined being loved by someone, because I thought that I didn’t deserve that kind of love, it took me a while to accept it but now I am here to tell you and show you that EVERYONE deserves that and of love because you are amazing and you are worthy to be loved in an intimate and passionate way.
